I had the OP's error message for iZotope's Trash 2 when temporarily installing an older version of REAPER as portable (to troubleshoot something else).

This all could depend on which REAPER version and whether portable or not. Or maybe it's just that this unusual pairing of dll and vst3 can be fragile. I don't have the VST2 versions of iZotope stuff but I wonder whether their dlls (or at least some of them) have the same name as the ones in the VST3 pair, and whether this is confusing REAPER? iZOzoneImager2.dllĪt first I thought, that's strange, maybe these are the VST2 dlls gone astray, but if you remove the dll temporarily you'll see that the vst3 won't load. IZotope VST3 installations actually have a. This reminded me of something that might be relevant.

You really mean the same error? or did the error list the vst3 file rather than the dll this time which is what you would expect?.

Problem was using Windows 10 Pro N version, which lacks "Media Foundation" dll files such as MFReadWrite.dll and MFPlat.DLL. I have tried clearing cache and re-scanning and I get the same error every time.

Under Preferences > VST I have the folders to scan in correct order, x86 first then 圆4. I'm getting the above dialog box error in Windows 10 Pro 圆4 trying to install the plugin, which does require activation, but I've done that with other plugins on this system and OS and as long as I connect to the Internet activation is fine.Īfter this error, when I re-launch REAPER it will not even list the plug-in anymore despite the plug-in being installed in the correct VST folder I have set up. "Plug-in Ozone 9 Elements.dll executed invalid operation during scanning"

Note: When I installed the same plug-in in Windows 7 Pro 圆4 there was no such glitch. Before launching REAPER the plug-in successfully installed. Trying to install Izotope Ozone Elements on Windows 10.
